One year and I only made $18

After a year of hosting that cost me $60 and a huge chunk of gold (time is gold) I have only made $18. I will now look back at the things that I did wrong and things that I will do to make it right. These are the things I failed to do.

 T_T “I ARE TEH FAIL” T_T

The first thing that I failed to do was to focus. I lost track at how many times I have revised this blog. I also bought around three domains which I neglected after 3 days of working on them. To be successful on making money on the internet is to try to make money. It all starts with the trying and you will actually get to making money. Though I’m still on the first part, this years experience has given me wisdom of what and what not to do.  Concentrate on one site, three at max.

Read other blogs . Information won’t come to you in a snap. Reading blogs will give you a sense of how to blog and what to blog about. You must not forget to post a comment on blogs of the same niche as you. This will spark interaction and interaction will spark linking and linking will generate more views and will generate more clicks.

Produce steady and consistent content.  This one of the things I neglected and is very important (In my opinion). People say that marketing is king on the internet. Yes I believe that’s true. But you need content to have something to market. I hope you get what I’m trying to say. Produce content that’ll make people want to come back to your site. Maybe place teasers or pics of naked girls (lulz just kidding).

Use Google Reader  or any feed readers for that matter. People tend to forget URL’s of blogs and websites. RSS is the secret of most successful money makers on the internet. Finding an interesting blog and forgetting to bookmark it is a shame. RSS it! It’s so much easier and you will only need to open one page. www.google.com/reader

Put ads . I doesn’t matter what ads you put. I always thought ads were annoying. Yes they are, for the reader maybe. Especially those ads that are placed near links for downloads. But ads are life savers for the webmasters, a primary source of income for others.

That’s about the stuff that I failed to do. I’d like to emphasize about focus. It’s probably the basic thing in making money. Do what you do with compassion and you will overcome any obstacle.
